Special Tours
Experience UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Rammelsberg Mine, the Old Town of Goslar and the Upper Harz Water Management System
UNESCO has honoured the Western Harz with several World Heritage titles. The area’s history of mining, which spans thousands of years, has special significance.
The Harz now represents both a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and a large national park. This is unique in Germany and perhaps in the entire world!
We would like to show you the unique cultural and natural landscape of the Harz with our tours, which take place both above and below ground.
Within the framework of WMOC 2012, three partner institutions have organized special tours of UNESCO World Heritage Sites:
- Rammelsberg Mine
- The Upper Harz Mining Museum
- Adventure tours with Master of Forestry Christian Barsch
Tours will be offered in German, English and, upon request, other languages as well. We would be happy to organize a special tour for your group. Just write us an email outlining the dates you would like to have your tour and send it to the appropriate partner institution.
